Hero Maker
Build a hero, then send it on an adventure
Your child puts together a superhero from suits, capes, masks, hair, pets and gadgets, and the very same hero then walks into short picture stories. Each story has two forks and a small action game in the middle, and every ending turns into a photo card for the album. Nothing has to be read and nothing can be failed.

About the game
Hero Maker is two games that share one character. The first is a dress-up workshop where a child builds a paper-doll superhero on a turntable. The second is a set of three short adventures, in Sky City, in the Jungle and on the Moon, where that hero meets a friend in trouble and helps.
The stories are told with pictures, thought bubbles and big round choice cards, so a child who cannot read yet can play alone. A one-line caption is shown at the top for children who are starting to read, and a parent can switch it off.
What is inside

The workshop: ten tabs of hero parts
The hero stands in a costume workshop with a tray of parts underneath. Ten picture tabs run across the tray: body build, face, skin tone, hair, suit, cape, mask, chest emblem, pet and gadget. A tap on a tile puts the part on the hero at once, and a row of colour dots under the tiles repaints hair, suit, cape, mask or emblem.
There are 3 body builds, 2 faces, 6 skin tones, 5 hairstyles, 6 suits, 4 capes, 4 masks, 8 emblems, 4 pets and 5 gadgets. The orange dice button dresses the hero at random from everything already open, which is a quick way to get a surprise. The green arrow leads to the map.

Four heroes, kept side by side
The game keeps four hero slots. Each starts with a ready-made hero, so the first adventure can begin straight away, and each can be rebuilt as the child likes. The purple button in the workshop opens the My Heroes panel, where a tap switches to another hero.
Every hero has its own photo album and its own star count shown under its picture, which suits siblings sharing one tablet. Stars from all four heroes are added together when the game decides which extra parts to open.

The map and the three places
The map shows three round pictures on a winding path: Sky City among the balloons, the Jungle and the Moon rocket. The hero hops along the path to the place the child taps. Next to each place a small plate shows the highest star result there and four dots, one for each ending already seen.
The counter at the top adds it all up. It can reach 21: up to 3 stars in each of the 3 places, plus 12 different endings.

A story with two forks
Each adventure opens with a small problem shown in a thought bubble: the balloons flew away, the golden egg is lost, the station light went out. Then two round cards appear with a picture of each route, for example up through the clouds or down along the street. The child taps one and the scene changes.
If the hero carries a gadget that fits the place, a third gold card with a lightning badge appears. It is a shortcut: the gadget solves the route, the mini game is skipped and the story moves on with two stars. After the hero meets the friend, a second pair of cards decides how the story ends.

Three mini games in the middle
The route chosen at the first fork decides which mini game is played. Each lasts about 25 seconds, shows a star bar at the top and a round timer, and always ends with at least one star.
- Sky Catch: drag a finger and the hero flies left and right, catching balloons in Sky City or stars on the Moon. Grumpy clouds and rocks make the hero wobble for half a second.
- Hop and Run: the hero runs by itself and a tap makes it jump over presents or sleepy crocodiles while picking up balloons or fruit.
- Seek in the Dark: the child moves a circle of light around a dark cave to find 8 hidden butterflies or shiny shards.
- Gadgets change the games: the shield bounces clouds and rocks away, the magnet pulls things in, the magnifier rings what to catch and widens the light, the rope hook reels items in and the jetpack makes flying faster and jumps longer.

Endings that become photo cards
The second choice leads to one of four endings in each place: a party with the big blue bird, a ride on its back, the egg hatching in the nest, a picnic by the rocket, and so on. The friend dances, confetti falls and the game takes a picture of the scene with the child's own hero in it.
The picture is shown as a stamp-edged photo card with the stars earned. Three buttons follow: play the same place again, go back to the map, or return to the workshop. All cards are kept in the Photos album, sorted by place.

Stars, new parts and the daily chest
Most of the wardrobe is open from the first minute. A few parts carry a small star badge and open when the star counter reaches 3, 6, 9, 14, 18 and 21: gold and silver capes first, then three extra hair colours, a fourth mask and the crown emblem, the baby dragon pet, the jetpack and at last the gold suit.
A treasure chest on the title screen can be opened once a day. It gives one extra colour, such as a black cape or a gold emblem, until all 12 gift colours are collected. There is nothing to buy and no timer to wait for inside a play session.
How to play
- Tap Play on the title screen to enter the workshop.
- Pick a tab, tap a part and a colour dot, or press the dice for a random hero.
- Tap the green arrow and choose Sky City, the Jungle or the Moon on the map.
- Watch the opening scene, then tap one of the two route cards, or the gold gadget card if it appears.
- Play the mini game: drag to fly, tap to jump, or move the light to search.
- Meet the friend and tap one of the two final choice cards.
- Look at the new photo card, then replay, go to the map or change the hero.

For parents
The child dresses a doll and then makes simple either-or choices in a picture story. One adventure takes two to three minutes, and a full session of dressing a hero and playing a place or two fits into ten. The mini games need a drag or a tap and give between one and three stars however they go, so there is no losing screen and no lives. A story always ends on a result screen with a photo card, which is a natural place to stop.
No reading is required. The choice cards are pictures with an icon, problems are shown in thought bubbles and the friends speak in wordless sounds. The short caption at the top of a scene can be switched off in the parent corner, which opens when the gear on the title screen is held for two seconds. The same corner has the sound and music switches, the language list and a reset that needs two long holds.
The game works fully offline. It has no ads, no purchases, no account, no Android permissions, no chat and no links out, and it collects nothing. It never asks for a name or a photo; the photo cards are pictures of the game scene, drawn by the game and kept on the device. The interface comes in 20 languages, picked automatically from the device language and changeable in the language list. All sound is synthesised on the device.
Questions and answers
What age is Hero Maker for?
It is made for children of about 3 to 9. The youngest enjoy the workshop and the picture choices; older children go after all 12 endings and the 21 stars.
Does my child need to read?
No. Everything is shown with pictures, icons and thought bubbles. A one-line caption appears at the top of story scenes and can be switched off in the parent corner.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes. The whole game is on the device and it has no network access at all.
What are the photo cards? Does the game use the camera?
No camera is used. A photo card is a picture of the ending scene with your child's hero in it, drawn by the game. Cards stay in the album inside the app on this device.
Is progress saved?
Yes, on the device only: the four heroes, stars, endings seen, photo cards and daily gifts. Removing the app or using Reset progress in the parent corner clears it.
Can two children share it?
Yes. There are four hero slots, each with its own album and star count, and the stars of all heroes count together towards new parts.
Are there ads or things to buy?
No. There are no ads, no purchases and no coins. Extra parts open with stars from the stories, and extra colours come from a chest that can be opened once a day.
